Static and Dynamic Disorder of Charge Transfer States Probed by Optical Spectroscopy

چکیده
Since the key role of charge transfers (CT) states has been identified for organic solar cells (OSCs), research into their properties is a timely topic. Conventionally, absorption and emission spectra are described in terms Marcus’ electron transfer theory. This single site approach with essential parameter being reorganization energy. Thus, it ignores ensemble effects, notably static disorder that inevitably present spin-coated OSC film. Here time dependent photoluminescence spectroscopy applied on blends polymeric donor MeLPPP either non-fullerene acceptor SF-PDI2 or PC61BM within temperature range from 295 to 5 K. The authors monitor how initially excited singlet converted emissive CT states. Concomitantly, residual singlets observed rather than hybrid CT-states. spectral diffusion this process discussed. From linewidths absorption, fluorescence, emission, dynamic contributions total inferred. In both blends, at K, contribution comparable disorder.

Charge-Transfer Complexes Studied by Dynamic Force Spectroscopy
In this paper, the strength and kinetics of two charge-transfer complexes, naphthol-methylviologen and pyrene-methylviologen, are studied using dynamic force spectroscopy. The dissociation rates indicate an enhanced stability of the pyrene-methylviologen complex, which agrees with its higher thermodynamic stability compared to naphthol-methylviologen complex.

متن کاملCharge Transfer in Donor-Bridge-Acceptor Systems: Static Disorder, Dynamic Fluctuations, and Complex Kinetics
The influence of static and dynamic torsional disorder on the kinetics of charge transfer (CT) in donorbridge-acceptor (D-B-A) systems has been investigated theoretically using a simple tight-binding model. In such systems, variations of the torsion angle often give rise either to static changes in the magnitude of electronic coupling along the bridge length or to dynamic fluctuations of this q...
متن کاملUltrafast Charge Transfer in Nickel Phthalocyanine Probed by Femtosecond Raman-Induced Kerr Effect Spectroscopy
The recently developed technique of femtosecond stimulated Raman spectroscopy, and its variant, femtosecond Raman-induced Kerr effect spectroscopy (FRIKES), offer access to ultrafast excited-state dynamics via structurally specific vibrational spectra. We have used FRIKES to study the photoexcitation dynamics of nickel(II) phthalocyanine with eight butoxy substituents, NiPc(OBu)8. NiPc(OBu)8 is...
